Training is a product sold together with equipment deliveries in all our projects, and as standalone in an after-market context. Training together with the physical equipment is an important part of how the customers experience quality in our deliveries. A variety of training programs are available, and KONGSBERG provides skilled and experienced instructors.

To ensure maximum system availability and predictability, KONGSBERG has esta¬blished a Training Concept to cover the customer’s training needs. Through this concept, we enable our customers to utilize their Communication systems in the best possible way through efficient and high quality training.

Our training concept is based on a three-step educational model that covers all levels from basic communication skills to specialist system setup:

Basic is the minimum education needed in order to prepare and setup, operate and maintain equipment and communication systems. The student audience for this educational level is normally personnel without Signals as their primary task, who has a need for basic communication technology skills in order to use a fully configured and operational communication system.

Advanced is defined as the highest operator education in order to prepare, set up, operate and maintain equipment and communication systems. The student audience for Advanced training is normally personnel with Signals and/or communication maintenance as their primary task.

Specialist is defined as the highest education within preparation, setup, operation, administration and maintenance of equipment and communication systems. The student audience for this training is personnel with overall technical unit communication responsibility, communication network administrators and personnel with more complex communication maintenance as their primary task.
