The work and process of division Integrated Defence Systems have been highly recognized through a third-party validation, with a CMMI maturity level 3 rating. The rating is valid through 2024. Division Integrated Defence Systems has managed to be appraised at this level through dedication to continuous improvements and closing the capability gap, with an proactive approach to managing projects and processes.
“I’m proud to announce that division Integrated Defence Systems has achieved CMMI maturity level 3 for development for the fourth time in a row. CMMI forms a basis for continuous development and improvement in the division. In addition to provide guidance and tools, CMMI has helped us build and maintain focus to improve quality in all aspects of our product development,” said Øystein Lintvedt, Development Manager, division Integrated Defence Systems, KONGSBERG.
An appraisal at maturity level 3, out of 5 levels, indicates the organization is performing at a defined level. The organization’s set of standard processes, which is the basis for maturity level 3, is established and improved over time.
43 people were interviewed in 16 sessions and 5 demos, and approximately 430 documents were reviewed.
“With the CMMI appraisal mark we clearly communicate to new and existing customers the importance and quality we place in the products we develop,” said Lintvedt.
