Norwegian Defence Logistics Organisation signs letter of intent- and cooperation agreement with KONGSBERG

Kongsberg Defence & Aerospace AS (KONGSBERG) and Norwegian Defence Logistics Organisation (NDLO) today signed two important agreements. A Letter of Intent for possible cooperation and readiness, and a strategic cooperative agreement for airborne platforms.

The parties intend to evaluate the potential for further development of strategic cooperation, in support of the Norwegian Armed Forces emergency readiness needs.

The first milestone in this collaboration is the conclusion of a cooperation agreement for the support of the airborne platforms portfolio between Kongsberg Aviation Maintenance Services (previously AIM Norway AS) and NDLO.

"It is important for us to reinforce cooperation with the Norwegian industry in order to cover the Armed Forces' need for maintenance and service also in the future. This agreement starts with airborne platform maintenance and we are hoping that we can expand this strategic cooperation", says Petter Jansen, CEO Norwegian Defence Logistics Organisation.

"With the acquisition of AIM, now Kongsberg Aviation Maintenance Services, we are well prepared to support the Norwegian Armed Forces with this type of maintenance tasks. This agreement continues the excellent cooperation we have with NDLO, as well as securing our highly competent workforce in Kongsberg Aviation Maintenance Services", says Eirik Lie, President Kongsberg Defence & Aerospace AS.

The parties have established a steering group that will lead the development of the cooperation.
