Anti-submarine system for Lockheed Martin

Kongsberg Defence & Aerospace has concluded a contract that carries a price tag of roughly MNOK 160 with Lockheed Martin of the US for the delivery of software and service for an anti-submarine system.

KONGSBERG's delivery is part of a command and control system Lockheed Martin will be supplying to the US Navy, although the South Korean Navy will be the end user. KONGSBERG's delivery is based on components of the systems being made for the new Norwegian frigates in co-operation with Lockheed Martin.

This is KONGSBERG's first export contract based on the co-operation agreement with Lockheed Martin signed in 2000 in connection with the Norwegian frigate programme.
