Eirik Lie is President of Kongsberg Defence & Aerosapce (KDA),a Business Area within Kongsberg Gruppen ASA (KONGSBERG).
Prior to his current positions, Mr. Lie was Executive Vice President for the Integrated Defence Systems division in KDA. In this role he was responsible for Air Defence systems, Integrated Naval Combat Systems, air- and land based C4ISR, and Ninox Remote Tower programs.
Since joining KONGSBERG in 1990, Mr. Lie held different positions of increasing responsibility, including software development, systems engineering and several projects and departmental management positions. He has also been head of the Kongsberg Defence Communication division located in Oslo. Mr. Lie was central in establishing the Raytheon/KONGSBERG NASAMS SL-AMRAAM Air Defence system which has been sold worldwide.
Mr. Lie is Chairman of the Board of Directors of Kongsberg Satellite Services (KSAT), a company jointly owned between KONGSBERG and Space Norway. He is also a member of the Board of Directors of Patria, a defence and technology company located in Finland, where KONGSBERG owns 49.9% of the shares.
Mr. Lie holds a degree from Kongsberg College of engineering, Data Engineering and has attended the Royal Norwegian Navy Officer Candidate School.
