Safeguarding our employees
We are in continuous communication with our 11.000 employees reminding them about the importance of following various restrictions and good hygiene. We provide information about the virus, updates on the current situation and provide individual support when needed.
Our company response includes restricting travel, encouraging remote meetings, cancelling conferences, limiting physical interactions in the workplace, restricting access to critical locations, reducing use of meeting rooms, and ensuring robust cleaning routines at our facilities. Further, we have implemented specific quarantine, communication and home office procedures.
Aligning with public health authorities
We have a crisis and preparedness team dedicated to our response to the pandemic and have Business Continuity Plans to ensure the continuation of business. We are closely monitoring updates from WHO (World Health Organization) and other relevant sources regarding COVID-19, and we follow advices and guidelines from public health officials and government agencies locally on an ongoing basis.
On March 12, the Norwegian government and the national health authorities launched a widespread national programme including quarantine rules and shout down of schools and day-care centers. KONGSBERG will comply and proactive respond to these new restrictions and recommendations.
Unfortunately, we don’t know how long this situation will last. However, KONGSBERG is dedicated to safeguard our employees, customers and future operations, and work to maintain “business as usual” as much as possible during this demanding period.
