Kongsberg Maritime Ship Systems (KMSS) has received the order to refit eight LNG (Liquid Natural Gas) carriers with BridgeLine navigation systems. The vessels are owned by NGSCO (National Gas Shipping Co. Ltd.) in Abu Dhabi.
The order was won in strong competition with other renowned makers, and represents another breakthrough for KMSS navigation systems in the refit market. The installation and commissioning of the systems will take place over a two-year period. Automatic Identification Systems from Kongsberg Seatex will also be fitted on the vessels.
