Test Development Engineer

An exciting opportunity has arisen as Test Development Engineer - Electronics in our central Manufacturing Technology department. In this role, you will develop test systems for electronics (circuit boards, modules and products) for underwater acoustic sensors and robotics. You will work with world leading products, in product development and improvement projects, and collaborate with product designers and manufacturing. We develop test systems for our electronics suppliers and internal manufacturing. Our test systems for electronics are key for efficient and high-quality manufacturing.

Kongsberg is growing in Horten and will be moving into a new building, which will become an exciting center for advanced manufacturing in Norway.

What you will be doing

  • Develop, improve and maintain internal test systems in manufacturing
  • Coordinate electronic test development at our suppliers.
  • Technical review of the production test strategy in early product development projects

We think you should have

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience within relevant technical area (electronics, software, cybernetics, mechatronics)
  • Extensive experience with LabVIEW programming.
  • Experience with test systems, measuring techniques, PCB design and electronics manufacturing
  • Advantage is you have experience with relational and/or time series databases
  • Beneficial if your are interested in working with process automation and IoT
