Technical Support Engineer, Control Systems (2 Positions)

We are looking for two motivated Technical Support Engineers to join our Propulsion and Handling, Global Customer Support team at Kongsberg Maritime. In this role, you will serve as the primary technical support contact for our customers.                    

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing technical support related to thruster control systems and frequency converters
  • Troubleshooting and resolving faults within the service network
  • Assisting with issues related to thruster control systems

Success in this role requires strong problem-solving skills, initiative, and excellent communication abilities. You will be supported by a team of skilled and experienced colleagues in an open and collaborative work environment.

Qualifications and experience

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field (relevant experience may compensate for formal education)
  • Knowledge of vessel control systems
  • Fluent written and spoken communication skills in English and communicate in Finnish
  • Previous experience with PLM systems (Teamcenter experience is a plus)
  • Experience in shipbuilding or the maritime industry is considered an advantage
