We are currently seeking an individual with a strong technical understanding of maritime energy systems and system integration in the maritime industry. With support from experts in our organization and knowledge about the actual vessel and operation this individual should have the motivation and capability to persuade decision makers related to the optimal path forward in marine operations.

We believe the foreseeable future will benefit from hybrid energy systems with capability to utilize the best from all in various operational modes of operation. The Energy Management shall secure energy- efficient energy production and minimize emissions while maintaining robustness. Since propulsion energy is a significant part of the energy consumption we select propulsion solutions from the KM portfolio according to operation and hull design.

Key accountabilities

  • Develop and implement sales strategies and plans for designated regions and customers.
  • Establish and maintain customer relationships.
  • Prepare, present, and promote integrated KM solutions to shipowners, yards, and designers.
  • When relevant bring in KM experts with tools and competence to provide customers with advisory services to show alternatives and advice the best solution for the vessel and operation
  • Act as Bid Manager to establish and coordinate the technical scope, cost estimation, risk assessment, and preparation of quotations.
  • Lead contract negotiations.
  • Coordinate activities with KONGSBERG’s sales resources to ensure alignment in customer interactions.
  • Provide technical and strategic support to other sales managers.
  • Represent the company at industry conferences and exhibitions.

Qualifications and experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical systems or equivalent industry experience.
  • Marine operation and system knowledge of electrical and energy solutions
  • Previous sales experience in the maritime industry or with related products and solutions is preferred.
  • Having experience with system delivery, commissioning and start-up at shipyards is beneficial.
  • Having additional experience in the Maritime sectors is beneficial.
  • Fluent in English and Norwegian, verbally and in writing

This employment may require security clearance by the Norwegian National Security Authority, clearance through Civil Aviation Authority or a background check.
