R&D Engineer – Electronics & Embedded

Help us build the electronics and embedded systems behind ocean-space technologies that safeguard marine resources, monitor climate change, and protect critical infrastructure -  Protechting People and Planet.

You’ll be contributing to the development of hydroacoustic sensors that involves high accuracy data acquisition, low-noise electronics and advanced digital signal processing - collaborating with experts across mechanical, electronics, firmware, software, and systems engineering.

Working in our team gives you the opportunity to
  • Participate in the full development cycle: specification, architecture, design, simulation, prototyping, verification, and testing.
  • Develop FPGA designs (VHDL), and/or embedded software for microcontrollers and real-time systems with robust verification.
  • Contribute to electronics designs across digital and analog domains.
  • Implement signal-processing pipelines, such as beamforming and filters.
  • Document designs, processes, and test procedures; support production and qualification.
Who we’re looking for

If you have an interest in tackling technical challenges, learning new skills, and collaborating with others, we encourage you to connect with us - whether you’re an experienced professional or just getting started. We’re looking for candidates who have a background in Electrical Engineering (Bachelor’s or Master’s) and practical experience in FPGA development or other digital design.

Experience in one or more of the following areas will help you thrive in this role:

  • FPGA/ASIC design and verification (VHDL/Verilog)
  • Electronics design
  • Embedded software for microcontrollers and real-time systems
  • Signal processing
  • Testing and documentation of electronics systems
  • Working across multidisciplinary engineering teams
  • Good oral and written English or Norwegian communication skills.

We understand that not everyone will fit every requirement perfectly. What matters most is a solid technical foundation, curiosity about embedded systems, and a genuine desire to learn and develop your skills.

If you’re thoughtful, curious, and eager to contribute, we’ll provide the support and mentorship you need to succeed and grow with us. Consider joining our team to make a meaningful impact together.

This employment may require security clearance by the Norwegian National Security Authority, clearance through Civil Aviation Authority or a background check. Please note that this might affect the offer process or employment.

Why join us
  • Opportunity to work on exciting and challenging projects in a high-tech environment.
  • Collaborating closely with our professional network within the FPGA domain.
  • Flexible working arrangements and extensive career and development opportunities.
  • An excellent working environment, with supportive colleagues and an open, collaborative atmosphere.
  • Unique products, diverse tasks, and a truly meaningful workday.

Enjoy access to our very own gym, company cabins, and borrow just about any tool, leisure gear, or even a trailer!
