Project Engineer

We are now seeking a Project Engineer for After Market Projects Seaborne in Kongsberg Maritime’s division Global Customer Support. We need engineers with determination and ability to solve challenging tasks within short time frames. In this role, you should be able to communicate clearly and be an enthusiastic contributor both towards continuous improvements and a good team spirit in our projects.

After Market Projects Seaborne deliver Ship Automation to vessels worldwide. We upgrade or replace Integrated Automation & Control Systems either from Kongsberg Maritime or other makers. Our projects are exciting and hectic with many unforeseen technical challenges. Our department is responsible for the project portfolio, and you would join a team of Senior Project Managers, Project Managers, Project Engineers and a team of Software Engineers. 

Key accountabilities

  • Complete project engineering activities within specified time- and cost limits.
  • Accomplish work according to current production- and quality assurance routines.
  • Support Field- and Project engineers at Sister Companies.
  • Support Warranty and Service Department.
  • Report administrative to Department Manager, functionally to Project managers.
  • Contribute to a good team spirit in the projects.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement.

Qualifications and experience:

  • Technical or maritime education and competence, maritime experience is an advantage
  • Fluency in English, oral and written.
