Product Safety Lead

An exciting opportunity has arisen as Product Safety Lead in Kongsberg Maritime in our division Integration & Energy. You will, as our dedicated and proactive Product Safety Lead, support the organization in Integration & Energy and in Kongsberg Maritime to provide products and services that are safe for their intended purpose throughout the lifecycle.

Key accountabilities

  • Provide product safety leadership in the Integration & Energy division
  • Support product owners and solution architects in the product safety process
  • Provide specialist guidance on common tool such as risk assessments risk evaluations, ALARP, Weibull, RAM, Markov and FMECA
  • Work in close cooperation with the Functional Safety Team in Kongsberg Maritime

Qualifications and experience

  • Bachelor or master’s degree in the field of engineering
  • Good knowledge of safety critical systems and software development of safety critical system
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a relevant field, e.g., safety or maritime field
  • Technical knowledge and understanding of product safety systems, standards, and tools (such as ISO 26262, FMECA, RAM, ALARP as well as risk evaluation and assessments)
  • Good communication skills both written and verbal in English
