In this role, you will play a part in our dynamic Global Customer Support team, delivering essential services for our business. Manager – Sales (AMS) drives aftermarket sales by achieving order intake targets and maintaining profit margins. They develop strategic sales plans to expand market presence and replace competitor products. The role involves building strong customer relationships and negotiating key service agreements. It also requires identifying market opportunities and collaborating with internal teams for effective sales processes. Extensive travel and strong industry knowledge in maritime and oil & gas are essential.

What you will be doing

  • Act as a brand ambassador for KM values, culture, and products
  • Achieve order intake and maintain profit margins as per KM Sales process
  • Close aftermarket sales with agreed commercial terms
  • Proactively drive aftermarket sales covering all products in close cooperation with product value streams
  • Maintain and update customer-wise sales plans for all products and provide forward-looking forecasts
  • Negotiate and close service agreements with strategically important customers (business case-based)
  • Prepare and maintain reports as required by the company
  • Follow and contribute to continuous improvement of aftermarket sales processes
  • Design and implement strategic sales plans to expand capture percentage of installed product base and replace competitor products
  • Build and promote strong, long-lasting customer relationships by partnering with key customers and understanding their needs
  • Identify emerging markets and market shifts while staying aware of new products and competition status
  • Proficient use of systems and tools as per process guidelines (D365, CRM, AX)
  • Identify enterprise business risks and prepare mitigation plans in collaboration with internal stakeholders
  • Support other functions in handling critical customer challenges (debt, negotiation, etc.)

We think you should have

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering
  • PGDM / MBA (Sales / Marketing) will be an added advantage
  • 12–15+ years of experience in the sales and marketing sector (Maritime or similar)
  • Wide exposure and network in the maritime, oil & gas domain
  • Prior experience and knowledge of KM products will be considered an advantage
  • Strong understanding of commercial / contracting principles and experience in preparing, formulating, and handling bidding processes
