You will be part of a regional EMEA team of technical experts within Digital Ocean, focusing on the maritime industry’s digital transformation.

As a Junior Technical Advisor at Kongsberg Maritime, you will be an integral part of the Vessel Insight team, supporting operation of our services and ensuring a positive customer experience.
You will play a key role in the follow up and maintenance of Vessel Insight features and applications, while providing valuable technical expertise throughout the entire support process.
Accountability/Work tasks:
- Provide advanced technical support to customers using the Vessel Insight cloud platform, ensuring timely issue resolution and minimal downtime.
- Troubleshoot complex system and connectivity issues, collaborating with internal experts to identify root causes and implement long-term solutions.
- Monitor system performance, data flow, and signal integrity to proactively detect and resolve potential disruptions.
- Collaborate with Customer Success Managers to ensure customers receive consistent, high-quality support and a positive product experience.
- Liaise with product and development teams to escalate and follow up on platform issues, feature requests, and identified bugs.
- Maintain clear communication channels with customers, partners, and internal teams to ensure transparency and efficient issue management.
- Document support cases, troubleshooting steps, and solutions to build and enhance the internal knowledge base.
- Contribute to continuous improvement by identifying recurring issues and suggesting process or product enhancements.
- Participate in after-action reviews and provide feedback to improve support processes, tools, and response efficiency.
Skills and Requirements:
- Higher education in Computer Science, Electronic Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent work experience.
- Strong understanding of Maritime Automation Systems, Navigation Systems, Power Management Systems, Monitoring Instruments, and Vessel Performance Systems.
- Experience providing technical support or troubleshooting within maritime operations, or a solid understanding of the maritime industry and vessel systems.
- Familiarity with onboard technical operations, including system integration, sensor data, and communication between maritime assets.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve technical issues, escalate when necessary, and ensure timely customer follow-up.
- Interest in digitalization and data-driven solutions within the maritime sector.
- Knowledge of computer networking and cloud-based platforms is an advantage.
- Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain complex technical topics clearly to customers and colleagues.
