Global Information Manager

Kongsberg Maritime is seeking a Global Information Manager to strengthen our central security team. The role has global responsibility for establishing, developing and governing information management across the company, ensuring a structured, secure and compliant approach to how information is handled throughout its lifecycle.

The position reports to the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) and covers governance, risk and compliance related to information management, including ownership and further development of the Information Security Management System (ISMS). You will act as a trusted advisor to process owners across the organization and work closely with IT and other key stakeholders to ensure that information management principles are embedded in both business processes and technology services.

As Global Information Manager, you will also support security-related matters for classified contracts and contribute to protecting Kongsberg Maritime’s information assets in a global and regulated environment.

The Global Information Manager tasks are within the following areas: 

  • Define and govern Information management in KM globally
  • Security audits, gap-analyses, and security assessments 
  • Management of governing documents 
  • Follow-up on security controls, security incidents and deviations 
  • Ensure use of technology to improve information management
  • Develop Training and awareness courses for Information management 

Required competence for the Global Information Manager: 

  • Bachelor's or Master degree, or similar (technical, economical, or administrative), relevant experience may compensate for other formal education.
  • Min. 10 years of experience within the security domain 
  • Experience from Information Security Management systems (ISO27001) and Business management systems
  • Excellent knowledge of quality standards methods and tools.
  • Good written and oral English skills. 

 

Desired competence for the Global Information Manager: 

  • Experience leading cross-functional security initiatives through projects and workshops
  • Knowledge and experience from companies subject to Norwegian security legislation 
  • Experience in ISO 27001 compliance and certification 
  • Certified Security Lead Auditor or Lead implementor of ISO27001
  • Experience of using Business Intelligence tools
  • Experience with Microsoft Purview
