Aftermarket Sales Manager

Kongsberg Maritime Hellas SA is representing Kongsberg Maritime’s business units and product lines in the Greek and the Cyprus Shipping Market.

Kongsberg Global Customer Support division is responsible for Kongsberg Maritime Customer Services and Aftermarket support. 2300 Customer Support employees are present in 40 different countries around the world. During the operational lifetime of more than 30.000 installations, we ensure cost-efficient and effective onboard services, upgrades and spare parts to secure availability and predictability to our customers.
Our customers demand maximum up-time on their assets and strive to keep total cost as low as possible. Global Customer Support, responsible for the Aftermarket shall be reliable and act when territory customers require system upgrades, refits systems.
We are searching for an efficient and structured Sales Manager with focus on the territory Merchant Marine Customers and any other stakeholder who might be interested in Kongsberg’s Maritime Value proposition.

Requirements:

• Relevant, higher education. Technical, Business and / or Shipping educational background would be preferred
• Very good knowledge of the Greek Ship Owners/Operators and Ship Managers Market.
• Knowledge on operational practices, as well as Life Cycle Management processes.
• Structured, reliable, good in networking and with collaboration skills.
• At least, 5 years of working experience within the maritime industry.
• Experience in preparation, delivery and negotiation of commercial proposals.
• Proven track record in delivering business results in both favorable and unfavorable conditions
• Market and business oriented
• Experienced in working in complex matrix organization structures
• Positive and outgoing with ability to establish and maintain good customer relations
• Excellent cooperative, communication and networking skills
• Ability to deal with several activities simultaneously in a hectic environment.
• Excellent communication skills in English, both written and oral.
• Willing to travel internationally.

Main Tasks:

• Maintain and develop key customer relationship.
• Prepare technical and commercial proposals in accordance with our product lifecycle philosophy
• Proactively present our product lifecycle status including product obsolescence, system improvements and recommended upgrades etc.
• Be an active part in implementing strategies to maximize aftermarket potential.
• Participate in developing aftermarket products and services based on customer feedback.
• Own customer relation responsibility (KAM list) and distributes KAM responsibility
• Lead in identifying and nurturing local new sales and aftermarket sales leads, through proactive customer development
