KONGSBERG receives top sustainability rating

In 2022, KONGSBERG has been identified as an ESG industry Top Rated company by market leading ESG-analysis company Sustainalytics.

Sustainalytics, a Morningstar company, is a leading independent ESG research, ratings and data firm that supports investors around the world with the development and implementation of responsible investment strategies. Sustainalytics is globally acknowledged by investors and other stakeholders as an important source of information and it assesses risks on a broad scale including amongst other companies’ exposure and management of areas such as pollution, governance, ethics, human capital and data privacy.

Compared with peers of equal size based on revenue KONGSBERG has been rated number one and compared with all companies in its industrial category, KONGSBERG is rated sixth, placing KONGSBERG in the top five percentile.

In its report, Sustainalytics concludes that KONGSBERG follows best practice and that the company’s ESG issues are overseen by the corporate executive management team entailing the issues are integrated in core business. On specific points Sustainalytics amongst other highlights how KONGSBERG’s Environmental Management System is certified to the ISO standards, how greenhouse gas emissions are monitored and the company’s strong ethics policies.
