KONGSBERG signs new RWS service agreement with France

The contract is valued to approx 100 MNOK

(London, September 2013) KONGSBERG and the French DGA signed a new 5 year service agreement for PROTECTOR RWS in July of this year.

The contract includes end to end logistics support for the PROTECTOR RWS delivered to France. Since 2009, KONGSBERG have delivered approximately 300 PROTECTORs to France, and the contract will ensure that the customer and the end users receive the best possible service for the delivered systems.

- This contract is an important milestone in providing world class system support to a very important customer. We look forward to five more years of supporting and protecting the French soldiers, says Espen Henriksen, President of Kongsberg Protech Systems.

The contract has an estimated value of MNOK 100.

The PROTECTOR Remote Weapon Station is designed for small and medium caliber weapons and can be installed on any type of platform; it is a fully stabilized, combat proven system qualified for global operations. KONGSBERG has delivered more than 17 000 RWSs to its 17 customer nations.
