Fantoft awarded Pipeline Management System contract
BG Maria-Armada Pipeline Management System offshore Scotland BG Group in UK has awarded Fantoft Process Technologies (a part of Kongsberg Maritime) the contract for supply of a Pipeline Management System - PMS for the Maria-Armada development located offshore Scotland.
The Maria field
The Maria field consists of subsea production wells tied-back to the Armada processing platform through an 11 km multiphase pipeline. From Armada, gas is exported via CATS to Teesside and liquids through Forties to the Kinneil processing plant at Grangemouth. Recoverable reserves for Maria and Maria Horst are estimated to be in the region of 35 mmboe. First production is scheduled for Q1 2007.
