Our Remote Diagnostics Services are delivered through a secure, direct connection between the vessel and Kongsberg Maritime’s support teams through a Global Secure Network. Certified engineers can view operator‑station screens in real time, collaborate with onboard personnel, and perform diagnostic assessments to resolve issues quickly and accurately.
All sessions are initiated and approved by the crew on board, ensuring full transparency and control. The service supports both diagnostic review and, if required and agreed, parts replacement and remote configuration tasks that follow a defined preparation and approval process.

How it works
A remote service kit is installed on board, including a pre‑configured router, a malware‑protection computer, and software for the operator stations. Once a session is initiated by the crew, Kongsberg Maritime engineers can securely access the operator station interface to observe system behaviour, analyse live parameters, and support troubleshooting.
The collaboration tools allow engineers to draw or mark directly on the shared screen and communicate through the built‑in chat function to ensure a full, common understanding of the causes and issues to be solved, and contribute to crew learning. Optional session recording can be enabled where documentation is required.
