The Purse Seine winches with low pressure hydraulic or the new Permanent Magnet - PM electric drive system and either electrical or mechanical spooling are offered for handling purse seine nets. With pulls in the range 20  - 40 tonnes and drum capacities as required, these are active winches providing sensitive net handling and a fast dynamic response thanks to the low inertia direct drive systems.
