Technical Advisor - Thruster Controls
An exciting opportunity has arisen as Technical Advisor in the Global Customer Support - Technical Support and Engineering Department. In this role you will be working with the Thruster Control product systems; MCON and Helicon X3, as well as the Advanced Maneuvering products autopilot, autonomy, energy optimization and positioning systems.
As a Technical Advisor you will handle and deliver services, technical support and participate in engineering tasks to customers, and to Kongsberg Maritime's Global support network. This includes technical support, technical documentation, upgrade design support and technical sales support.

Key accountabilities
- Provide Technical support, troubleshooting of delivered thruster control systems to vessels worldwide using support tools or sending service engineers
- Collaboration with customers and internal departments in Kongsberg to resolve technical product issues in the sailing fleet
- Discover and provide feedback of recurring problems and general product improvements to the engineering department
- Participate in the creation and define best "ways of working" in service-documents to be used by internal and external customers
Qualifications and experience
- Bachelor's degree or technical education in Automation, Electronics, IT or other relevant experience
- Knowledge of integrated systems; Thrusters, Power electric, Hydraulic, network, software and Integrated control systems
- Fluent communication skills in Norwegian and English, both verbally and written
