Kongsberg Maritime is the provider of the K-Sim maritime simulation systems that enables efficient and realistic training of students and crew to build vital skills that promote safety, cost-efficiency and sustainability in operations at sea.
Maritime Simulation develop, manufacture and deliverers Maritime Simulators for Navigation, Engine and Cargo handling to the worldwide market and is one of the market leaders within this segment. The business unit delivers physical site simulators as well as online cloud-based simulator solutions enabling training by simulators anytime / anywhere. The main customers are Maritime Academies and Schools, Maritime Training Centre’s, Shipowners and Crew Manning Companies.
Our K-Sim simulators range from full-scale bridge simulators with realistic features, to cloud-based training to enable engaging exercises anytime and anywhere. In this role, you will play a crucial part in developing the market and meet new customers, delivering essential value for our business.

What you will be doing
- Manage develop and grow the portfolio the assigned accounts in the EMEA region, and find new customers
- Map and understand the customers’ decision process, establish and develop relations with influencers and decision makers
- Understand the training needs, manage expectations and develop solutions/proposals in cooperation with the customer/end user and the KM organization
- Identify, manage and review account strategy and specific sales objectives, ensuring customer’s needs and expectations are routinely addressed and exceeded
- Manage RFI, RFQ, and RFP processes for the assigned accounts
- Plan and implement the defined strategies within the customer account segment in close cooperation with the Product department, Customer Support Department, Global Sales Team and other Kongsberg representatives/entities
- Contribute to our digital transition and promote SaaS within the region
- Travel in the region is expected
We think you should have
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, maritime studies, business, or related field
- Preferably background from the maritime industry, simulation or education
- Preferably experience from selling technology-based solutions to maritime training centers and institutions
- Proven skills in successfully developing executive level relationships
- Comfortable operating in the field. Highly organized and able to handle complex sales engagements including negotiations and closing.
- A good understanding of the public procurement process
- Extensive experience utilizing CRM applications
