Sales Engineer, Spare Parts

Our key mission is to ensure operational excellence for our customers and solve any pain or problem they might encounter. Our Sensing Solutions product lines contain systems like Bearing Wear Condition Monitoring, MetaPower®, K-Gauge Custody Transfer System and numerous sensor applications installed on thousands of vessels.
To further strengthen our team here in Trondheim, we are looking for a service-minded Sales Engineer with interests in sales, solving technical challenges and being close to our customers. Key accountabilities
- Proactive handling of customer inquiries for spare parts and solutions
- Provide relevant technical sales support to KMs global aftermarket sales teams
- Work with Field Service, Warranty Team and other departments (R&D, Product and Project) to improve processes and quality
- Maintain & update customer information in the CRM system
- Follow up on customers and ensure KM is their preferred supplier
- Collaborate closely with the global GCS team in Kongsberg Maritime
Qualifications and experience
- Technical education & background, typically within electronics, mechatronics, automation or similar. Relevant experience would compensate for lack of education
- Commercial experience and/or mindset
- Good skills in use of digital tools (eg. ERP systems, CRM, Microsoft Office etc.)
- Good oral and written communication skills in English and Norwegian/Scandinavian
- Experience from international markets, maritime or oil & gas business would be an advantage
This employment may require security clearance by the Norwegian National Security Authority, clearance through Civil Aviation Authority or a background check.
