Project Manager for Navel Systems
Kongsberg Maritime has ambitions to grow considerably within the Naval domain.
Kongsberg Maritime has for many years successfully sold and delivered products such as propulsion systems and stabilizers to Navies and Coast Guards around the world. Our Naval business is expected to grow further by providing more products, solutions and services to the Naval market. The main growth is expected to be achieved by adding automation & control, energy and digital services such as maritime simulators.
As part of this growth, we are looking for a Project Manager for Naval Systems. The role will be part of the newly established Naval Systems business unit in our Propulsion and Handling division.
We are seeking a dedicated project manager to manage a portfolio of Naval System projects with often a long time span. The project manager will oversee the projects through all phases – from initiation and planning to execution and closure. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required standards. A structured and active approach to project progress and risk management will be key to succeeding in this role. You will work hands-on with internal key stakeholders and customers to ensure successful delivery and you are expected to establish and maintain excellent customer relations.

What we think you should have:
- Education within engineering, management or similar
- Experience with customer relations
- A self-driven and proactive mindset
- Ability to act independently, take initiative, drive actions
- Demonstrated leadership skills, including providing clear direction, motivating and coordinating others, and maintaining focus on objectives
- Experience with maritime operations, products or market
- Very good communication skills in both Norwegian and English, written and oral.
- Strong collaboration and relationship-building skills and ability to work in a structured, independent and proactive manner.
