Operations Buyer
Are you ready to take on a new challenge in purchasing and logistics? We’re looking for an Operations Buyer to join our skilled and welcoming Supply Chain team. As an Operations Buyer, you will play a vital role in ensuring the timely and cost-effective supply of materials for both new sales and aftermarket projects. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams including project managers, planning and project purchasing. Your ability to build strong relationships—both internally and with suppliers—is key to your success.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the end-to-end purchasing process for customer-specific components.
- Place and follow up on purchase orders, including change management and delivery tracking.
- Ensure supplier commitments are accurately reflected in the ERP system.
- Handle invoice and pricing issues in collaboration with strategic buyers and finance.
- Evaluate supplier quotes and ensure alignment with project budgets.
- Secure materials and resolve delivery issues to maintain production timelines.
- Lead supplier business review meetings and support continuous improvement initiatives.
Some travelling to suppliers, internationally, can occur from time to time, this to follow up on deliveries and strengthen partnerships.
Qualifications
We are looking for you who has a post-secondary education in logistics, supply chain or finance, or equivalent work experience. Previous experience in industry, logistics or purchasing is highly valued. You are comfortable working with various systems, especially ERP, and communicate fluently in English. As the role involves handling of classified information, you must meet the requirements for security clearance.
