IPS Engineer
Exciting Opportunity as Integrated Product Support (IPS) Project Engineer in the Naval Market.

Kongsberg Maritime is currently looking for an IPS Project Engineer or IPS Project Manager to join our cross-functional Integrated Product Support team of young and experienced colleagues. Due to the high demand for our products in the naval market, we are seeking a motivated individual to join our team as an IPS Project Engineer. This role offers the chance to work on exciting projects within the naval business, providing both sales support and managing your own project portfolio.
Role and Responsibilities:
- Review customer IPS requirements and compliance matrices during the bid phase.
- Support project managers in planning, coordinating, and managing IPS delivery projects.
- Perform relevant Product Support Analysis.
- Coordinate product data codification.
- Interact with suppliers to obtain necessary item data.
- Facilitate FMEA/FMECA and RAMS analysis.
- Collaborate with stakeholders across the organization.
- Support identify and understand specific naval regulations.
Our Team:
Our team is responsible for both sales support and project delivery of IPS work packages, including logistics, maintenance planning, supply-chain management, training, technical data, reliability and maintainability, and sustainment. We provide guidance on effectively managing and support of complex systems, maximizing system availability and readiness while reducing lifecycle costs. Our work integrates Product and Systems Engineering principles to ensure comprehensive solutions.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Technical background and experience with project execution.
- Experience with Reliability, Availability, Maintainability, and Safety (RAMS) analysis.
- Experience with FMEA/FMECA
- Knowledge of Life Cycle Management and Sustainment.
- A BSc/MSc degree in a relevant field is advantageous.
- Knowledge of marine automation and control systems is a plus.
- Familiarity with IPS/ILS and product support analysis is also beneficial.
- Proficiency in English and Norwegian, both oral and written; additional languages are an advantage.

Where you will be working
preferably Ålesund, Kongsberg or Horten, but other KM locations may be considered. Some traveling will be required.
