Engineer, Autonomous Navigation System

Will you to take the challenge of developing advanced technical solutions for the future of autonomous ships?

You will be a part of the Autonomous Navigation System team contributing to robust collision avoidance algorithms, both as advisory for international shipping and in fully autonomous short sea shipping.

Responsibilities

  • Design, development and optimization of collision avoidance algorithms.
  • Contribute to successful delivery of projects.
  • Collaborate with other teams to ensure seamless integration.
  • Keep updated on emerging technologies and trends within the field of cybernetics and control theory.


Qualifications and essential experience

  • PhD or Master’s degree in engineering cybernetics or similar with relevant specialization
  • Experience with C++ programming
  • Knowledge of Linux-based environments
  • Good oral and written communication skills in English and preferably in Norwegian


Desirable experience

  • Familiarity with Docker for containerization
  • Familiarity with Git or other version control
  • Experience with machine learning
  • Experience with GPU programming 

This employment may require security clearance by the Norwegian National Security Authority, clearance through Civil Aviation Authority or a background check.
