PROTECTOR RS2 is a lightweight remote weapon station designed for 5.56 mm and 7.62 mm machine guns, meeting the requirements of smaller tactical platforms and logistics vehicles with strict weight limitations.
The RS2 delivers advanced sensor technology and accurate weapon engagement for platforms where minimal roof load is essential. When equipped with a 7.62 mm machine gun, the total roof weight—including ammunition—remains under 115 kg.
The system provides reliable, easy‑to‑use capabilities for long‑, medium‑, and short‑range surveillance, along with precise engagement of soft and semi‑hardened targets at short and medium distances.
A stabilized sight solution, flexible weapon compatibility, and a mission‑proven fire‑control system operated from a protected position inside the vehicle ensure enhanced survivability and mission effectiveness.
All PROTECTOR weapon systems support both wired and wireless control and can be mounted on manned or robotic platforms. When combined with PROTECTOR Counter‑UAS software, the RS2 supports C‑UAS missions for the protection of personnel and critical infrastructure. The common PROTECTOR Fire Control System enables integration with battlefield management systems and defensive aids such as laser warning or active protection systems, ensuring adaptability to evolving threats.
