Climate targets
At KONGSBERG, we are committed to reduce our CO2 emissions andprepare our business for a low emission society and building a more sustainable future.
In November 2023, KONGSBERG's climate targets for 2030 were verified by SBTi and our scope 1 and 2 targets were assessed to be compatible with limiting global warming to 1.5 degrees Celsius in accordance with the Paris Agreement.
The transition plan was based on four main targets to reduce the climate impact of our operations and to create business opportunities by enabling our customers and other stakeholders to do the same.
Following the demerger of April 23rd, 2026, and subsequent change in our emission profile, we will revisit and set new updated targets for the group in 2026.
KONGSBERG’s climate reduction targets shall be integral to our company strategy, providing a clear and actionable framework for our emissions reduction efforts. These targets shall guide our planning and operations, ensuring that we contribute effectively to the global effort to combat climate change.
We will continue to develop our transition plans and review our priorities’as we progress with our climate reduction programs.
