Ronny Opsjøn Langset

Ronny Opsjøn Langset is the Executive Vice President of Naval Surface Ships for Kongsberg Defence & Aerospace, a business area within Kongsberg Gruppen ASA (KONGSBERG).

Langset began his career as an aircraft technician with Braathens and Pratt & Whitney in Stavanger. In 2006, he transitioned to the shipbuilding industry, where he spent 18 years with VARD Group. During his tenure at VARD, he held various positions, culminating in his role as Shipyard Director at Vard Langsten for the last eight years. Under his period in VARD, the shipyard constructed notable vessels such as the FS Marjata, and the new Jan Mayen class coastguards.

Langset holds an education from Sola Technical School of Aviation and BI Norwegian Business School. Additionally, he is a certified skilled aircraft mechanic.
