We are currently looking for high-performing Digital Twin Developers for Maritime Services in the field of azimuth thruster research and development for predictive maintenance applications. In this role, you are responsible for emerging technology development with significant growth opportunities. You work together with your colleagues to develop, commission, and maintain predictive maintenance systems on some of the largest maritime vessels in the world. The role will be based in Kongsberg Maritime - Product Service Center, Gdynia.


Key responsibilities


  • Developing digital twin back-end code with the predictive capability of azimuth thruster maintenance needs.
  • Sensor data analytics.
  • Developing new and applying existing physics-based or data-based predictive models.
  • Commissioning and remotely maintaining predictive maintenance installations on the sailing fleet.
  • Continuous improvement and methodology development for engineering analytics.


Key qualifications


  • Bachelor’s Degree preferably in Engineering Mechanics, Statistics, Machine Learning, programming, etc.
  • Min. 3 years of professional programming experience.
  • Education and/or experience in:
    • programming (Python, Numpy, Pandas, git), databases (InfluxDB)Grafana;
    • cloud knowledge, deployments (larger number of deployments), container (docker), version controls, automated processes;
    • working in SCRUM or/and Kanban;
    • statistics, simulations;
    • product scale-up.
    • Must have other technology: Mechanical engineering, signal processing, sensors.
    • Experience within mechanical maritime applications or condition monitoring data analytics is considered an advantage.
    • Nice to have: distributed computing (Dusk / PySpark), CI/CD (GitHub actions), Kubernetes, PLC software development, agile (Azure DevOps), web development (Django).
    • Nice to have other technology: system dynamics, control systems.
    • Full professional working level proficiency in English.
    • Good teamwork and communication skills.
    • Readiness for occasional business travel.
