With over 40 years of experience with GBAD, the powerful KONGSBERG Fire Distribution Center (FDC) demonstrates its relevance and flexibility by also being the command and control for the proven High Precision Strike Surface- to- Surface Naval Strike Missile (NSM™) in a true Network Centric and agile Coastal Defence System.
NASAMS AIR DEFENCE SYSTEM
NASAMS (National Advanced Surface-to-Air Missile System) is the world’s first operational Network Centric Short to Medium Range Ground Based Air Defence System. The KONGSBERG /Raytheon NASAMS Air Defence System features net centric architecture, multiple simultaneous engagements, Beyond Visual Range (BVR) capabilities, closely integrated and adapted to a country’s integrated air and missile defence (IAMD). The NASAMS network expands the defended area and enhances the total fighting capability of the armed forces.
COASTAL DEFENCE SYSTEM
The NSM™ CDS is a high performance ground based Coastal Defence system. The NSM™ CDS has unique features with a net centric architecture which enables multiple simultaneous engagements and over the horizon (OTH) targeting. These capabilities, combined with the unique NSM™ target recognition, shapes a highly potent and vast SSM system for the future. The system can be closely integrated and adapted to a country’s adjacent weapons and command and control systems. This expands the defended area and enhances the total fighting capability of the force.
