EK ADCP
The EK ADCPs are a part of the EK Family, which comprises a full range of acoustical products for scientific use. The EK family provides high-quality data of objects in the water column, high-resolution current profiling of the water column, and bathymetric data with high-quality seafloor and sediment backscatter.
The EK ADCP family provides simultaneous water column back scatter and water column current measurements with high-resolution. A range of frequencies are offered to fit the applications’ requirements to range and resolution. Some models of the EK ADCPs are offered with the transceiver electronics mechanically integrated in the transducer. These models can also be configured as an EK echo sounder with a 3 degrees narrow beam.
EK80 software
At the heart of the EK family is the EK80 software which processes and displays the data from the acoustic signals transmitted and acquired by the echo sounders and ADCPs.
Transceivers and transducers
The transceiver functionality is either mechanically integrated in the transducer, to significantly reduce the risk of electrical interference, or delivered as a standard WBT with a transducer cable between the transducer and the transceiver electronics.
