Our product portfolio covers the full chain of frequency generation and distribution, including frequency sources and synthesizers, switching and distribution networks, frequency converters, and fully integrated frequency generation units. This breadth enables optimized, system‑level solutions tailored to mission‑specific requirements.

Telecom payload specialization

Frequency converters are a fundamental building block in all telecommunications payloads, and KONGSBERG has developed particular expertise in this domain. We specialize in two main converter families: cross‑band converters, and pre‑ and post‑processing converters designed specifically for High Throughput Satellites (HTS) and Very High Throughput Satellites (VHTS), where performance, flexibility, and reliability are critical.

Subsystem‑level ownership and systems engineering excellence

As a major systems engineering hub, KONGSBERG delivers complete onboard subsystem solutions backed by decades of experience. We assume end‑to‑end responsibility for subsystem design, development, management, and MAIT, with recognized strengths in Data Downlink, TT&C (TC&R), and Analog Processing Repeater subsystems.

Flexible communications for GEO missions

KONGSBERG offers command receivers and telemetry transmitters primarily targeting GEO telecommunications satellites. A key differentiator of these products is their built‑in frequency flexibility, enabling broadband, in‑orbit selection of receive and transmit frequencies and providing operators with long‑term adaptability throughout the mission lifetime.
