WBAT
Subsea wideband autonomous transceiver
The Wideband Autonomous Transceiver (WBAT) is a subsea transceiver designed to monitor marine life and detect gas leaks worldwide. The WBAT is a cutting-edge technology that leads the way in marine life monitoring.
Advanced Subsea Research Tool
The autonomous all-in-one echo sounder WBAT is programmed using EK Mission Planner before deployment. It is self-contained and records data with the acoustic settings at given time intervals. The EK80 or third-party applications are used for data analysis following data collection.
Typical Installations
The WBAT is available in two versions, 1500 m and 6000 m depth rating. It is typically used in ocean observatories for fish mitigation studies, long-term biological studies, and improved fish stock assessment.
