The PROTECTOR Training Concept is designed to ensure that our customers achieve and maintain the highest possible operational effectiveness from their PROTECTOR Remote Weapon Systems and ICS platforms.

Flexible training locations

Training activities can be conducted:

  • At KONGSBERG facilities in our dedicated PROTECTOR Training Center
  • On-site at the customer’s location, worldwide

This flexibility ensures minimal operational disruption while maximizing training effectiveness.

What the PROTECTOR Training Concept includes

Instructor-led training

We provide instructor-led training for:

  • RWS operators
  • Maintenance and technical personnel

Training is delivered by experienced PROTECTOR instructors and tailored to the customer’s configuration, doctrine, and operational needs.

Train the Trainer

For customers seeking long-term sustainability and national ownership of training, KONGSBERG offers Train the Trainer courses.

These programs enable selected personnel to:

  • Conduct operator and maintainer training internally
  • Maintain training standards over time
  • Adapt training to evolving operational requirements

Refreshment and continuation training

To support long-term readiness, we offer refreshment training programs designed to:

  • Revalidate individual skills
  • Maintain proficiency over time
  • Support personnel turnover and role changes

Integrated training support

KONGSBERG also provides dedicated training support agreements, enabling more integrated and continuous training support as part of broader sustainment solutions.

This allows training to evolve in parallel with system upgrades, new software releases, and operational changes.
