Long-term commitment delivers results
KONGSBERG is experiencing strong growth, and recruitment has been a key focus in recent years. In 2022, we announced plans to hire close to 5,000 new employees over a five-year period. Now, four years later, we top the list of Norway’s most attractive employers – a clear sign that our targeted efforts are paying off.
“There is a great demand for our solutions, and we need many highly skilled people. That’s why we have worked systematically with recruitment over time. We are incredibly proud of this recognition. The award gives us a great deal of energy for the work ahead,” says Ørjan Stengelsrud, HR Director at KONGSBERG.

Technology, societal mission, and quality
With war and geopolitical instability increasing the need for defense material, perceptions of job security may also be affected. At the same time, the survey shows that several factors play an important role when people evaluate KONGSBERG as an employer.
“Job security is important, but our main focus is on the large and demanding tasks we are solving. We are creating safety for people and society – using cutting-edge technology. Everything we develop, whether within defense, energy, maritime, space, or aquaculture, must be of the highest quality,” says Stengelsrud.
