Raytheon Family of Missiles

The KONGSBERG/ Raytheon team delivers a complete short to medium range missile solution with the Raytheon Family of Missiles in NASAMS. A mix of missile capabilities will provide robust overlapping coverage in both engagement ranges and counter measures.

Raytheon AIM-120 AMRAAM

With more than 25 years of design, upgrades, testing and production, the AIM-120 missile continues to meet all warfighter requirements. In the surface launch role, it has demonstrated more than 200 firings, mostly in a tactical role, with a success rate of more than 90 %.

The unique dual-use feature requires no modification on the missile. You can simply take it off the wing of the fighter and load onto the rail of the NASAMS Multi-Missile Launcher and vice versa.

Raytheon AMRAAM ER

The AMRAAM Extended Range (ER) missile features a larger rocket motor and other enhancements. AMRAAM ER will greatly expand the NASAMS engagement envelope with a 50% increase in range and a 70% increase in altitude.

Raytheon AIM-9X Sidewinder Block II

The combat-proven dual-use AIM-9X Sidewinder Block II is a short-range, multi-purpose, infrared missile. In service in 24 countries around the world. With over 16 years of on-time deliveries, the AIM 9X missile has been on the path of evolution since the introduction in the early 2000s with over 7 200 missiles delivered. This unique infrared missile introduces a new capability to the NASAMS Air Defence system. The unique dual-use feature requires no modification on the missile. You can simply take it off the wing of the fighter and load onto the rail of the NASAMS Multi-Missile Launcher and vice versa.
