Contest purpose and judging criteria
The Kongsberg Discovery Calendar Image Contest is designed to highlight exemplary marine data visualizations and imagery that demonstrate technical rigor, clarity of insight, and visual communication using Kongsberg technologies. Submissions were evaluated on:
- Technical quality (signal fidelity, resolution, and data integrity)
- Relevance and insight (ability to communicate seabed or structural features effectively)
- Visual composition (clarity, contrast, and overall presentation)
- Originality (distinctiveness of subject and perspective)
- Compliance with submission guidelines and rights clearances
