Eirik holds a MSc in Cybernetics and Robotics from Norwegian University of Science and Technology and has a background in software and product development within underwater acoustic systems. Currently, Eirik serves as product line manager for Discovery’s underwater acoustic positioning systems like HiPAP, uPAP, HAIN and APOS, responsible for overall strategy, development and quality of the products working with both internal and external partners.

Demonstration of the next generation HIPAP Software enabling remote SSBL acoustic positioning from both crewed and uncrewed vessels. Existing HiPAP 502 systems can be upgraded to benefit from remote alignment calibration, remote survey, monitoring and over the air updates.
