Ocean data for the future
17:30-23:00
Quay Riboty, Nice
Welcome onboard Statsraad Lehmkuhl
KONGSBERG, the Research Council of Norway and the Norwegian Ocean Data Forum have the pleasure to invite you to Nice onboard the 111-year-old tall ship Statsraad Lehmkuhl.
The United Nations third Ocean Conference takes place in Nice in June, and the overarching theme for the conference is "accelerating action and mobilising all actors to conserve and sustainably use the ocean".
On June 10, we are hosting an event onboard the ship that is on an international voyage to promote ocean sustainability. For 12 months, the expedition will visit 27 ports across three continents, including a historic transit of the Northwest Passage.
About the event
Understand how your work can improve society's interaction with the ocean. We aim to undermine the significance of ocean data to support the transition into a more sustainable future. Discussions will include security aspects, data sharing and governance, and the need for high-quality measurements fuelling ocean literacy.
