About the role

Interact with our customers in lifecycle and performance projects to conduct systems engineering through a transdisciplinary and integrated approach to enable the successful realisation, use, and retirement of engineered systems, using systems principles and concepts, and scientific, technological, and management methods. You will play a crucial role in supporting our customers, offering remote product guidance, and contributing to a knowledge pool that supports our field service team.

About the role

You will play a crucial role in supporting our customers, offering remote product guidance, and contributing to a knowledge pool that supports our field service team.

 

Key responsibilities

  • Provide Service and maintenance of Surveillance solution for Ports, Coastal and offshore wind parks.

  • Offer technical support and on-call/remote services.

  • Proper preparation and execution of work assigned and ensure performance are always met Responsible for generation of service reports, update drawings, cable information database and relevant technical documents.

  • Assist our sales department with technical issues.

  • Effective communication and collaboration with colleagues and customers.

  • Performance of all duties are to be undertaken with a strong adherence and personal commitment to the KONGSBERG Corporate Values and Workplace Health and Safety framework and requirements.

  • Undertake travel as required, both within Australia and internationally, to fulfill the requirements of this role.

  • Other duties as deemed relevant to organisational requirements and within the technical competency of the position.

 

About you

Qualification

  • Engineering degree in electrical, electronic or software engineering with either a minor in systems engineering or other complementary systems engineering qualification or experience.

  • Full working rights in Australia.

  • An Australian Security Clearance (or willing to obtain) 

 

Experience

  • 1 – 3 years’ experience in system engineering practices in the marine environment.

  • Experience with most aspects of the systems development life cycle including requirements, design, integration, test and verification.

  • Experience working in multi-disciplinary teams.

 

Skills

  • Strong communication skills, both written and oral.

  • Windows [Server, Workstation], Database [MS SQL], VMware, Azure,

  • Networking and Security.

  • Hardware installation of Radar, VHF

  • Linux
