Information Developer

Kongsberg Discovery is growing and we are looking for an Information Developer to join our team. In this role, you will create operator, maintenance and installation documentation in cooperation with project and development engineers for AUV and USV system deliveries.

In our new facilities in Horten we design and build autonomous underwater vehicles (AUVs) and autonomous uncrewed surface vessels (USVs) that can explore the sea down to 6000 meters below surface. Our vehicles can operate alone for days at a time, gathering information about the sea floor, water, and objects in the water. We integrate advanced sensors for survey, maritime navigation, and security and surveillance.

What you will be doing:

Create, revise, and maintain technical documentation such as user manuals, online help, and instructional guides

  • Analyze complex technical information and simplify it for end-user understanding
  • Utilize various content management systems and authoring tools to produce and manage documentation
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineers, product managers, and designers to gather information

We think you should have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or other technical background
  • Experience working with authoring tools: XML, DITA standard, Content management system (RWS Tridion Docs), Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.
  • Strong communication skills in both Norwegian and English, verbal and written.
  • You are, or aspire to become, a valuable resource through your passion for the field.
