kta naval systems is a joint venture company owned by Kongsberg Defence & Aerospace, thyssenkrupp Marine Systems and ATLAS ELEKTRONIK.
kta naval systems is exclusive supplier and Design Authority for the complete Combat Systems to thyssenkrupp Marine Systems submarines.
kta naval systems has its headquarters in Kongsberg, Norway and a branch office in Bremen, Germany.
This position is located in Kongsberg.
We are now recruiting Commercial Project Manager to shape the future of submarines with its product family of Combat Systems ORCCA
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ensures the overall (commercial) success of a project (campaign) in time, quality and specially costs.
- Be part of the project (campaign) core team and act as deputy to the Project (Campaign) Manager.
- Define contractual/legal conditions in offers and agreements
- Negotiate with customers, subcontractors and partners
- Extensive end-customer and stakeholder relationship management (internal / externanl) both nationally and internationally
- Management of our main project-partners, such as suppliers and customers/shipyards, incl. interface to procurement, finance, legal support and localization.
- Analysis and evaluation of customer request such as Contractual Change Request, RfIs and RfQs and transform into proposals incl. calculation and payment plans, terms and conditions , as well as handling bank/ parent company guarantees.
- Participation of campaign and localization strategies, and in negotiations with customers, subcontractors and partners
- Manage and mitigate all commercial risks.
- Regularly internal and external reporting according to campaign process and company regulations.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 10years experience in defense sector
- Significant experience in complex technical projects with proven success, particularly working in international teams and with international customer (preferable in governmental / military environment).
- Very pronounced proactive, holistic thinking and cooperative personality with financial and negotiation skills even in demanding situations.
- University degree in finance, economics or (business) law
- Strong intercultural competence and empathy.
- Travel amount app. 20-40 % expected
- Language skills: Fluent in written and spoken English is a must, second international language would be a plus
- Military service is a plus

This position will require some travel.
