New S-4L waterjet launched with Gotland Horizon X high-speed ferry contract

Kongsberg Maritime has announced the launch of its new Kamewa S-4L waterjet series with a major contract to supply propulsion systems for Gotlandsbolaget’s next-generation high-speed ferry, Horizon X. The multi-fuel vessel, currently under construction at Austal, is hydrogen-ready and represents a significant step toward sustainable high-speed ferry operations.

Kongsberg Maritime - a global technology partner

As previously announced, Kongsberg Gruppen ASA (KONGSBERG) will demerge Kongsberg Maritime as a separate publicly listed company. The decision was approved at an Extraordinary General Meeting in KONGSBERG on 22 January 2026, and Kongsberg Maritime is planned to be listed on Euronext Oslo Børs in April 2026.

Som tidligere annonsert vil Kongsberg Gruppen ASA (KONGSBERG) skille ut Kongsberg Maritime som et eget børsnotert selskap. Dette ble vedtatt på en ekstraordinær generalforsamling i KONGSBERG 22. januar 2026, og Kongsberg Maritime planlegges børsnotert på Euronext Oslo Børs i april 2026.
