In this role you will play a key role in ensuring the optimization of our product life cycle within Battery Systems that secure customer satisfaction. We believe that to balance technical expertise and a strong customer focus you will be able to achieve success with our customers. Important factors going forward will be to prioritize new functionality to the product and technology in the retrofit/refit market, as well as developing solutions with standard maintenance and obsolete state.

As a Service Technical Product Manager Battery Systems, you will work with battery solutions for upgrades, capacity testing and refit solutions for end of life on battery modules.

What you will be doing

Service Capability and Spares Management:

  • Identify service capability gaps in assigned product lines and define requirements to address them.

After-Market Sales Linkage:

  • Bridge the gap between after-market services/projects and sales, by identifying opportunities for upselling or cross-selling after-market products or maintenance / SLA contracts.
  • Gather insights from customer interactions to improve product design and service offerings.

Lifecycle Management:

  • Propose upgrades, enhancements, and service packages to prolong product usefulness.
  • On behalf of GCS E&C, define and influence product lifecycle classifications and related Product Support updates, ensuring alignment with Service Lifecycle requirements.

Organizational Improvement:

  • Serve as the primary internal technical contact for product-related queries, providing expert guidance to teams.
  • Serve as a bridge between Technology, Product, Aftermarket Sales, and Aftermarket Projects.

Quality Assurance and Continuous Improvement:

  • Report and follow up on actions for recurring issues and product-related nonconformities.

We think you should have

  • Technical education within automation or electrical
  • A minimum of 4 years of product experience with vessels and installations
  • Extended skills in software, hardware and overall system functionality for the product is an advantage
  • English communication skills, both verbal and in writing
