Senior QA Engineer – Cloud & Edge IOT
We are seeking a Senior QA Engineer to support the Edge IOT engineering team.
This role is responsible for ensuring quality across cloud-native services, distributed systems, and containerized environments. The position requires strong expertise in automation as well as the ability to perform structured manual and exploratory testing when required.
This is a hands-on role embedded in the engineering lifecycle.
What you will be doing
- Design and maintain automated test frameworks using Playwright and TypeScript
- Develop automated regression, integration, and API test suites
- Validate microservices and distributed system interactions
- Integrate test automation into Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines
- Maintain test reporting and quality gates
- Perform structured manual testing in development and staging environments
- Conduct exploratory testing for complex edge and cloud workflows
- Validate environment configurations and deployment scenarios
- Identify edge-case failures in distributed systems
- Test services deployed on Microsoft Azure
- Validate containerized workloads using Docker and Kubernetes
- Perform API validation and integration testing
- Collaborate with engineers to troubleshoot environment-related defects
We think you should have
- 8+ years of experience in QA and testing
- Strong proficiency in Playwright and TypeScript
- Solid understanding of JavaScript/TypeScript and asynchronous programming
- Strong experience with API testing
- Experience with Azure DevOps CI/CD
- Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes
- Experience testing cloud-native or distributed systems
- Strong understanding of SDLC, STLC, and Agile methodologies
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
- Strong knowledge of test design techniques and best practices
- Experience with BDD/TDD approaches
- Ability to balance automation and manual testing effectively
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proactive and continuous improvement mindset
