As a Senior Engineer in our Advanced Marine Operations (AMO) department, you will play a key role in delivering complex engineering projects, ensuring high technical standards, and providing expert guidance to our clients. This position also involves mentoring junior engineers and driving innovation in modeling, simulation, and the development of digital tools

AMO is recognized globally for its engineering and consultancy services. We specialize in supporting marine operations and floating systems through advanced dynamic simulations. Our expertise includes the analysis of riser and umbilical systems, power cables, and the design and commissioning of riser integrity monitoring solutions. We deliver real-time decision support tools for drilling and marine operations, integrated with other KONGSBERG bridge systems.

Offshore wind is a growing focus area for us. We are actively developing concepts for efficient wind turbine installation, such as pull-in and towing operations, and we carry out analyses of related systems including floater behavior, mooring configurations, and power cable response.

 

What you will be doing

· Execute engineering projects in AMO from planning through delivery.

· Perform advanced modeling and simulation of marine systems. (structures, vessels, flexible riser and power cables)

· Develop and implement digital tools and data-driven processes.

· Provide technical input for tenders and client communication.

· Support offshore operations and participate in international project assignments when required.

 

We are looking for candidates with

· Master’s degree or higher in engineering or the sciences—such as hydrodynamics, marine construction, marine cybernetics, physics, or mathematics.

· Minimum 3-5 years of relevant experience in offshore or marine engineering.

· Proficiency in Python, data analysis, and simulation tools.

· Experience with AutoCAD, Rhino, Autodesk, or similar drawing and 3D modeling tools is considered an asset.

· Strong communication skills in English, written and spoken.

· Ability to work on-site at Lysaker and travel as needed.
